If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

If you are ready to join, you can do so with a simple 3 step process:

1. Send the following information to Membership@wmkal184.org:   

   • First and Last name; Email address; Postal street address with City, State and Zip Code, and Phone number

   • An attached image or document showing military service (redacted DD214, VA Driver's License with veteran logo, etc.). Once verified, we will digitally shred the attachment. 

2. Click this payment link <Pay Post 184's annual dues> to pay electronically.  Due to payment servicer fees, there is a small overhead charge to cover our fees to maximize the funds we can apply to our programs.  Note: Include your name and 'Initial dues' In the payment comment.   You may also scan the QR code provided on this page to pay by mobile device.   Joining dues are the same as annual dues.   

3. If you'd prefer to pay by check, you can mail a check for the amount of $50 made out to "American Legion Post 184" and mailed to:  W.M. Kidwell American Legion Post 184,  P.O. Box 5118, Herndon, VA 20172.
